The tree trunk is “shaved” using a “yuh” a short blade with a long handle. Longer shavings can be made by more experienced craftsmen. After the appropriate size is achieved, the "panghut" is hung out to dry.

In the class, you will be presented with the history of panghut making. You will participate in the complete process of panghut making, from the chopping of the tree, removing the barks of the tree to the actual shaving process.
