The Faculty of Applied and Creative Arts was formed and established in September 1993 and opened for enrolment in the July session of academic year 1994/1995. The programmes offered were approved by the Higher Learning Committee of the Malaysian Ministry of Education on 2 June 1994 and were given recognition by the Public Service Department on 14 January 1999.

 

Founded as part of UNIMAS mission to establish itself as an exemplary university in the region of the Faculty Applied and Creative Arts (FACA) was established. FACA recognises the importance of technology and management skills in exploring creativity, through programs such as Fine Arts, Design Technology, Arts Management, Music and Cinematography towards the degree of Bachelor of Applied and Creative Arts.
