Global Discovery Programme: Integrating Artificial Intelligence, Sustainability, and Intercultural Learning at Parul University, India
Participating in the Global Discovery Programme at Parul University from 1st to 15th February 2026 was a transformative academic and intercultural experience. Organised by the Centre for International Relations & Research (CIRR) in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (Parul Institute of Technology), the two-week programme seamlessly blended Artificial Intelligence (AI), sustainability frameworks, and India’s rich cultural heritage into a holistic global learning journey. FRST Community Gathers for the Launch of Zookaneka 2025/2026
Zookaneka 2025/2026, organised by Zoological Technology Programme from the Faculty of Resource Science and Technology, was successfully held for the first time on 14 December 2025 at Arena Tun Tuanku Haji Bujang, UNIMAS. The event brought together students and staff from various academic levels, including undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as lecturers, creating a vibrant and inclusive sporting atmosphere. VOYAGES 2025: Advancing Global Enrichment and Sustainability
Visionary Outreach by Young Academics for Global Enrichment & Sustainability (VOYAGES) is an international edutourism mobility initiative led by the Faculty of Cognitive Sciences and Human Development (FCSHD), Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS). Designed to foster intellectual growth, academic collaboration, and cultural exchange, the programme reflects the Faculty’s commitment to preparing students for meaningful global engagement.
The first VOYAGES initiative was held from 15 to 26 September 2025, bringing together twenty selected FCSHD students representing four academic programmes within the Faculty. Participants were chosen through a competitive interview process based on merit, leadership qualities, and academic excellence. Preparations began earlier in the year, strengthening institutional relationships and ensuring the programme’s comprehensive scope. More>>
Strengthening Islamic Accounting Literacy through Industry and Academia Collaboration
KUCHING, 9 February 2026 – Politeknik Kuching Sarawak recently hosted an impactful Industry Enrichment Engagement Program (IEEP) titled “Islamic Accounting and Regulatory Framework”, featuring invited speaker Dr. Sharifah Sabrina Syed Ali from a public university, FEB-UNIMAS. The program formed part of a broader community outreach and inter-university collaboration initiative aimed at strengthening academic-industry linkages and enhancing students’ exposure to contemporary developments in Islamic accounting.
