About Course

INTRODUCTION

This is a full time programme that prepares medical doctors for the Master of Public Health and Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degrees. On successful completion of the first year programme the candidate is awarded the Master of Public Health degree. During the following three years the programme prepares the graduates for the DrPH degree. Guidance will be provided by experienced, dedicated and qualified lecturers to ensure that the candidates are kept in touch with innovative, up to date developments in public health-related issues and community based developments.

 

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The minimum entry requirements for the programme are as follows:

  •  A master’s degree with good pass from an approved university in an area relevant to the candidate's proposed area of research.
  •  Other equivalent qualifications approved by the Senate
  •  For international students, a minimum IELTS Score of 5.5 or its equivalent (e.g TOEFL-525; TOEFL Computer Test-196; TOEFL Internet Test 69-70) is required.

 

FEES AND FUNDING


The full fee for this programme is RM8,596.00 per course for Malaysian student and RM20,446.00 per course for International student. Students supported by the government, employers or other sponsors should bring letters from their sponsors addressed to UNIMAS confirming that the fee will be paid directly.
