WHAT WE OFFER

Master In Internal Medicine

Master in Internal Medicine (MIM) is a full-time programme that trains medical doctors to be Internal Medicine Specialists (IMS) or general physicians.  The programme follows the latest Malaysia National Postgraduate Medical Curriculum for Internal Medicine (NPMC) in which during the first year, the candidates will be trained in general medicine.  In second and third year, the candidates will rotate among the Internal Medicine subspecialities to acquire more in-depth training in the subspecialties.  In the fourth year, the final year, candidates will be trained in general medicine/subspecialities taking the role as IMS trainees.  Structured teaching sessions based on NPMC syllabus are organised throughout the four-year training.

UNIMAS recognises the importance of quality in research/critical thinking and management skill in a good IMS.  Thus, besides clinical courses, this programme takes an innovative step incorporating two clusters of courses i.e., research and critical thinking courses and management courses into the programme
