The MEd TESOL programme starts in October every year. Application is open throughout the year and can be done online via:: https://oas.ia.unimas.my/

The programme aims at providing opportunities to various group of potential candidates such as:

• Content Editor/Editors/Sub-Editors/Copy Editors

• Proofreaders
• Journalists
• English language Teacher/Senior Teachers
• Training Managers/Management Trainees
• Language and Communication  Trainers

The MEd TESOL is a master’s degree programme by coursework over a minimum duration of 12 months, which is equivalent to 3 semesters of full-time study.

It is also offered as a part-time programme over a duration of 24 months, which is equivalent to 6 semesters of study.

To support your study, the university provides various facilities and resources:

• Online Learning Support

Teaching and learning activities for the programme are conducted on weekends.

For admission into the programme, a candidate must meet the following criteria:

• A bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent, as accepted by the Senate;

OR

• A bachelor’s degree in the field or related fields not meeting a CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to at least five (5) years of working experience in related field.

For international students, an IELTS score of 5.0 or an equivalent to it (e.g. TOEFL-525; TOEFL Computer Test-196; TOEFL Internet Test 69-70 or MUET Band 3) is required, in addition to the entry requirement stated above.
