WHAT WE OFFER
Master in Public Health
This is a full time programme that prepares medical doctors for the Master in Public Health and Doctor in Public Health (Dr PH) degrees. On successful completion of the first year programme the candidate is awarded the Master in Public Health degree. After the first year of obtaining the master degree, in the subsequent 3 years, the programme prepares the graduates for the Dr PH degree. Guidance will be provided by experienced, dedicated and qualified lecturers to ensure that the candidates are kept in touch with innovative, up to date developments in public health-related issues and community based developments.

PROGRAMME STRUCTURE
Full-time, one-year programme (40 credits: core + research project)
Opportunity to continue into UNIMAS’s Doctor in Public Health (DrPH) programme for those eligible.
Your Path Ahead
For doctors: MPH (1 year) → DrPH (3 years), with guidance toward Malaysia’s Public Health Medicine specialist route.
For non-doctors: Gain a respected MPH credential with the foundational training, field exposure, and research experience needed for careers in policy, academia, NGOs, and global health.
ALTERNATIVE OPTION FOR ADMISSION
FAST TRACK OPTION
APEL.A for Access
- APEL.A is applicable to local and international applicants who do not meet the regular entry requirements imposed by academic programmes at any MQF level
- Applicants applying for entry via the APEL.A must meet the minimum age requirements stipulated for the various level of qualifications
- Applicants must fulfil the minimum formal qualifications stipulated, for Master's and Doctorate level
- Applicants applying for entry via the APEL.A must have prior experiential learning

Qualified individuals with relevant prior learning experiences could take APEL. C assessments
(Portfolio/Challenge Test) for credit transfer in APEL Assessment Centre, UNIMAS.
