Duration of Study: 2 Semesters
Applicant must be a MyKad holder of either Malay descent or Native of Sabah (with one parent being Pribumi Sabah) or Native of Sarawak (with one parent being a Pribumi Sarawak) or Peninsula Orang Asli only. The applicant must pass SPM with a minimum of five (5) credits including Bahasa Melayu and a pass in Sejarah.
Specific Entry Requirements
Achieved a minimum grade of C in all of the following subjects:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Mathematics
- English
AND
Scored at least grade E in:
- Additional Mathematics
AND
Scored at least C grade in ONE (1) subject excluding the following subjects:
- Bahasa Melayu
- Sejarah
Foundation in Physical Science

Duration of Study: 2 Semesters
International Foundation in Science
Applicant must be a MyKad holder of either Malay descent or Native of Sabah (with one parent being Pribumi Sabah) or Native of Sarawak (with one parent being a Pribumi Sarawak) or Peninsula Orang Asli only. The applicant must pass SPM with a minimum of five (5) credits including Bahasa Melayu and a pass in Sejarah.
Specific Entry Requirements
Achieved a minimum grade of C in all of the following subjects:
- Mathematics
- English
- Any ONE (1) subject in the field of Science, Technology, and Engineering
AND
Scored at least grade C in TWO (2) subjects excluding the following subjects:
- Bahasa Melayu
- Sejarah
International Foundation in Science
This program is under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education (KPT) and has been accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). Upon successful completion of the program, foundation graduates may choose to further their studies in various bachelor’s degree programmes offered by any universities including UNIMAS.

Malaysia Citizen
Applicant must be a MyKad holder and pass SPM with a minimum of five (5) credits including Bahasa Melayu and a pass in Sejarah or other equivalent qualification recognised by Malaysia Qualifications Agency (MQA).
Non-Malaysia Citizen
Entry requirement for non-Malaysian applicants is subjected to the University’s academic requirement as stated in the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) Entry Requirement for O-level or equivalent.
